2024 PORSCHE 718 SPYDER RS

The 718 Spyder RS is the convertible version of Porsche’s track-focused Cayman GT4 RS coupe, with a 4.0-litre flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 that produces 368kw and 450Nm of torque. It has been confirmed as the last new Porsche 718 variant to be introduced with a petrol engine – before the 718 model range switches to electric power in 2025 or 2026. The Spyder RS features a chassis that is set up for fast road driving. Revving to 9000rpm, it sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, zero to 100km/h is achieved in 3.4 seconds and 0-200km/h in 10.9 seconds with a top speed of 308kph. The engine breathes through a pair of distinctive air intakes to the side of the occupants’ heads. The car on display is fitted with the optional Weissach Package.

The Weissach Pack adds carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components like the bonnet, rear wing, and side air intakes. This makes the car even lighter, enhancing its performance and handling on both the road and track.
