The National Automobile Museum of Tasmania operated at 86 Cimitiere Street, Launceston - adjacent to the City Park between 1996 and 2019. It was in this location it earned a reputation as one of Australia’s premier automotive destinations, showcasing vehicles across all eras of motoring. The museum featured an upstairs mezzanine level, on which the motorcycles were displayed.
