Mission Statement

The Tasmanian Motorsport Hall of Fame was established in 1989 to honor outstanding contributions to motorsport in Tasmania by individual competitors and officials who have made significant achievements for the benefit of the sport both in Tasmania and beyond.

Outstanding achievements will be recognized appropriately to ensure they are not forgotten in the years to come. Nominations are invited from state organizations, clubs, individuals, and members of the general public in order to ensure the most worthy inductees are selected.

A set of selection criteria and guidelines has been established to ensure the highest possible standards are met before selection.

An invited board of directors, consisting of current and former competitors, officials, and media members, has been established with the purpose of administering the Hall of Fame and selecting suitable inductees from the nominations received.

Individuals or organizations wishing to nominate potential inductees to the board of directors must obtain the official nomination form from the executive officer, who can also provide a copy of the guidelines and confirm whether the nomination is already on file.
