2024 PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS
Powered by a 4.0 litre naturally aspirated flat-six, the GT3 RS produces 386kw and 465nm of torque. It is capable of revving to a hypnotic 9000rpm and 0-100km/h is achieved in just 3.2 seconds. The car has not been designed with day-to-day liveability in mind, the rear seats have been removed in favour of a rear roll-cage. The body is largely unique from the standard 911, with only the roof shape shared between the two vehicles. Every panel produces some form of downforce, a total of 860kg is generated at 285km/h. Unusual for a modern car, there is a general lack of driver-assistance technology, with just ABS brakes and stability and traction-control present. The GT3 RS is equipped with active drag reduction technology, allowing for maximum downforce to be achieved through corners – then reduce drag instantly afterwards. The rear wing is adjusted by two small electric motors, allowing a change from minimum to maximum settings in just 0.35 seconds.
