1970 FERRARI DAYTONA 365 GT/B

The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 and GTS/4, known for their sleek designs, were built between 1968 and 1973 and took the car world by storm! They first dazzled audiences at the 1968 Paris Motor Show and were the successors to the legendary 275 series. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti, who also created the stunning ‘Dino’ Ferrari, the Daytona (as it’s often called) became a superstar in racing and pop culture after its name was inspired by Ferrari's big win at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona race!

Only 1,406 of these incredible cars were made, and the one on display started as a Berlinetta, which is a stylish closed coupe with a fixed roof, before becoming a Spyder in the 1990s—only 122 factory Spyders were created! A Spyder features a convertible design with a retractable roof, allowing for an open-air driving experience. This beauty is powered by a roaring 4.4-litre V12 engine, producing 347 horsepower. The Daytona reached legendary status in 1971 when drivers Dan Gurney and Brock Yates zoomed from New York City to Los Angeles in just under 36 hours during the first Cannonball Run, averaging an impressive speed of 129 km/h! Even years later, a 365 GTB/4 won its class at the 24 Hours of Daytona, proving its place in racing history.

The man behind the magic, Enzo Ferrari, was born in 1898 in Modena, Italy, and his passion for cars started early. After working as a test driver for Alfa Romeo in the 1920s, he founded Ferrari in 1947, launching the first Ferrari model, the 125 S. Enzo's relentless pursuit of speed led Ferrari to dominate motorsports, creating not just race cars but also symbols of luxury and style.
